IRVINE, CA, (September 30, 2003) – US LABS, Inc., a leading anatomic pathology provider of cancer diagnostic services, announced today that it has appointed Michael Chapman to the position of Chief Information Officer.
Mr. Chapman brings over 20 years of informatics experience with a proven track record of developing and managing large-scale health care, finance, manufacturing and human resource IT systems. Mr. Chapman’s most recent position was Chief Technology Officer with WorkWell Systems where he established a product development team and launched injury management and prevention services targeted at Fortune 100 customers using internet collaboration technology.

Mike brings his vast experience in information technology and will be instrumental in implementing our new laboratory information systems. We have recently made substantial investments in upgrading our front-end accessioning and billing systems. Mike will be the key driver as we continue to develop our informatics strategy and broaden the use of our US LinX on-line services.”
Prior to joining WorkWell systems, Mr. Chapman was the Director of Corporate Application Services at Honeywell International. At Honeywell, he led and managed a team of 175 application professionals in the U.S., Ireland and Mexico. His group was responsible for developing corporate-wide and business unit intranet and internet applications. Mr. Chapman has also held a variety of IT and management positions for AlliedSignal and Textron. . Mr. Chapman is the recipient of several awards for IT leadership, innovation, productivity and implementation. He received a B.S. in Business Management from Pepperdine University and an Executive Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University.
