Dr Thomason is board certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and hematopathology. He earned his medical degree with highest honors from the University of Tennessee School of Medicine in Memphis. He completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas and a hematopathology fellowship, directed by Dr Peter Banks, at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Dr Thomason previously served as director of hematopathology for Blount Memorial Hospital and Kessler Air Force Base Medical Center. He also served as medical director for Molecular Pathology Laboratory in Maryville, Tennessee. Dr Thomason has published several articles in The American Journal of Clinical Pathology. John Lavelle, MD

Dr Lavelle is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, a hematopathology fellowship at the University of Virginia, and a surgical pathology fellowship at the University of Louisville. Dr Lavelle is a member of the College of American Pathologists, where he serves as a hospital laboratory inspector. He is also a member and past resident council liaison for the American Society for Clinical Pathology.

Dr Lee is board certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and hematopathology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Florida, where he also completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology and a fellowship in hematopathology. David T. Miller, MD, PhD

Dr Miller is board certified in clinical pathology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Nebraska and his PhD from the University of Virginia. He completed his residency in pathology at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Dr Miller has more than 20 years of experience in the development and implementation of diagnostic applications for clinical pathology with more than 10 years focused in flow cytometry. Dr Miller is a member of the International Society for Advancement of Cytometry and the American Association of Blood Banks.

 

Debra M. Mitchell Nelson, MD

Dr Nelson is board certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and hematopathology. She earned her medical degree from the University of the West Indies Faculty of Medicine. She completed her residency in pathology and a hematopathology fellowship at the University of Florida. Dr Nelson is a member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology and the College of American Pathologists.

Dr Morosan is board certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and hematopathology. He earned his medical degree from the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania, and received post-medical school training in family medicine at County Hospital Suceava, Romania. Dr Oza is board certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, hematopathology, and blood banking/transfusion medicine. He earned his medical degree from Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya/M.G.M. Medical College, Indore (M.P.), India. Galina I. Bannykh, MD

Dr Bannykh is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. She earned her medical degree from the Ivanovo State Medical School in Russia. She completed her residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Dr Chen is board certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and hematopathology. He earned his medical degree from Nanjing Medical University, his master’s degree from Peking University Health Science Center, and his PhD from the National Institute of Virology in China. He was a postdoctoral fellow at The Scripps Research Institute. Dr Chen completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Arizona and a hematopathology fellowship, with a subspecialty in lymphoma and lymph node pathology, under Dr Elaine S. Jaffe at the National Cancer Institute.

 

David J. Dabbs, MD

Dr Dabbs is board certified in anatomic pathology and cytopathology. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio and completed his residency and fellowship programs at the University of Washington. Dr Dabbs currently serves as chief of pathology at the Magee-Women’s Hospital of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and is a professor of pathology at the University of Pittsburgh. He has more than 20 years experience in immunohistochemistry and the surgical pathology of solid tumors, with additional subspecialty-focused interest in tumors of unknown origin, breast and gynecologic pathology, and tumor cytopathology. Dr Dabbs offers national workshops in breast pathology and immunohistochemistry and has published and presented more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals. He is the author and editor of the textbook Diagnostic Immunohistochemistry. Dr Dabbs serves on multiple editorial, educational, and scientific advisory boards and is a member of the College of American Pathologists.

 

Froilan P. Espinoza, MD

Dr Espinoza is board certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and immunopathology. He earned his medical degree from California State University, San Bernardino and University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. Dr Espinoza completed his residency in pathology through a combined program at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center, Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in surgical pathology at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center. Dr Espinoza is a member of the College of American Pathologists and currently serves as assistant clinical professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine.

 

Shi-Ping Jiang, MD, PhD

Dr Jiang is board certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and hematopathology. She earned her medical degree from Tongji Medical University, China, where she also received her master’s degree in clinical research. She earned her PhD in pathology from Essen University in Germany. Dr Jiang completed her residency in pathology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and the George Washington University Medical Center. She completed a fellowship in hematopathology at Scripps Clinic in San Diego under the instruction of Drs Sharpe and Bethel, and she received special training under the tutelage of Dr John Chan at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Hong Kong, and Dr Elaine Jaffe at the National Institutes of Health.

 

Takako Mitsuhashi, MD, PhD

Dr Mitsuhashi is board certified in anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and dermatopathology. She earned her medical degree from Tokyo Women’s Medical School and her PhD from the Gunma University School of Medicine in Japan. Dr Mitsuhashi was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, San Francisco Cancer Research Center. She completed dermatopathology training under Dr Ronald J. Barr at the University of California, Irvine.

 

Robert Stroup, MD

Dr Stroup is board certified in anatomic pathology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Washington Medical School and completed his residency in surgical pathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He completed a hematopathology fellowship at City of Hope under the direction of the late Dr Henry Rappaport. From 2000 to 2003, and again in 2006, Dr Stroup served as medical director for US LABS. During his extensive career, he has published numerous papers and abstracts in the field of pathology.

He earned his medical degree from the Second Military Medical University in Shanghai, China, and his PhD in molecular pharmacology and toxicology from the University of Southern California. Dr Yue completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology, including hematopathology training, at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He completed a hematopathology fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a lymphoma fellowship with Dr Elaine Jaffe at the National Cancer Institute.
